OrgOrg for Slack Connector
OrgOrg and Slack make it easy for the right things to happen in your organization. The OrgOrg for Slack connector provides two primary integration points with On-Call and Rosters.
OrgOrg administrators can enable the connector in the Admin Control Panel.
Connecting to Slack
To connect OrgOrg to Slack Sign in to OrgOrg.
- Visit the Connector dashboard
- Click Connect on the Slack tile to connect a pre-existing Slack account.
- You'll be guided through an authentication flow to confirm which Slack space OrgOrg should connect to.
- You'll be returned to OrgOrg and with confirmation your connector is working.
On-Call
OrgOrg provides a slash command
/oncall
that allows anyone in your Slack space to page the primary on-call. OrgOrg will post new incidents and status updates as they move from acknowledged to resolved. OrgOrg on-call gives your team the visibility and alerting mechanisms needed to make sure the right people are notified so a resolution can be found as quickly as possible.Roster Management
Managing which employees are in which Slack channels can be a slow and error prone. OrgOrg Rosters allow you to create lists of people based on employee attributes to make sure everyone is always in the right conversations. For example:
- All employees with the title Engineer should be in the #eng channel.
- All employees with the title Engineer, Product Manager, or Designer should be in the #product channel.
- All employees who have direct reports should be in the #manager channel.
